SMC Decisions — 7 September 2026
The Scottish Medicines Consortium published advice on eight medicines on 7 September 2026. All eight were accepted:1 Eight high-cost specialist medicines accepted in a single month is an unusually high volume for the SMC. SMC Decisions — 10 August 2026
The Scottish Medicines Consortium published advice on seven medicines on 10 August 2026. All seven were accepted: Blueteq comment:. Almost all would typically sit on Blueteq prior-approval forms in England, several under the Cancer Drugs Fund. The breadth of disease areas in a single month’s SMC decisions illustrates the scale of the managed medicines governance challenge without a digital prior-approval system.
