ISPOR Ireland published analysis in September 2026 drawing on data from the post-FASPM 2026–2029 Framework Agreement period. The data indicated that the average time to reimbursement from EMA approval had improved from 705 days (2023) to 623 days (2025).1 The Central Pricing Unit (CPU) of the HSE reported its average turnaround time for pricing applications had decreased from 73 days to 44 days following the introduction of new FASPM transparency and horizon scanning requirements.
The HSE commissioned an end-to-end review of the medicines access pathway in June 2026; the review is expected to report in December 2026. The review scope includes eligibility verification and post-reimbursement governance.2
